Discover the iconic blue-washed streets of Chefchaouen, offering a peaceful and photogenic contrast to the country’s bustling cities—creating an immersive journey filled with culture, history, and breathtaking scenery at every turn.

Day 1 & 2

Arrivals-Marrakech

Upon arrival and after check in, we will meet for dinner within the medina of the ancient walled city of Marrakech. We’ll return to our riad for the evening. A riad is a walled hotel of sorts with a pool at the center and rooms that circle the open courtyard, typically with multiple levels.

Our first full day in Marrakech will be a full one beginning at the famous Jarden Marjorelle, a home where Yves Saint Laurent and Jacques Majorelle once lived. It has a striking blue exterior with a beautiful garden to wander. We’ll continue to

Day 3, 4, & 5

Ouarzazate-Sahara Desert

Today we journey toward the breathtaking Sahara Desert, traveling through some of Morocco’s most stunning and diverse landscapes. Our first stop is at a historic Kasbah, a 19th-century palace tucked within the Atlas Mountains, offering a glimpse into Morocco’s rich past.

We continue to the iconic Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-listed fortified village built from clay and straw. Dating back to the 17th century, it once served as a key trading post and has since become a famous backdrop for films like Gladiator, The Mummy, and Game of Thrones. Nearby, we’ll visit Atlas Studios—often called the “Hollywood of Morocco”—to explore legendary movie sets. We sleep in Ouarzazate.

As we venture deeper into the south, we’ll stop at Todra Gorge, where towering orange limestone cliffs rise dramatically above a scenic walking path. We sleep in Erfoud.

We have a full day on the borderland of the Sahara by visiting an ancient Ksar full of history. We’ll experience local life with visits to a Berber market, a fossil workshop in a region rich with ancient finds, and a nomadic family to gain insight into traditional desert living. From here, we set out by 4x4 to explore the golden dunes, with the option to try sandboarding.

By evening, we arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the Sahara’s vast dunes. Before sunset, we’ll continue by camel into the dunes, arriving at our desert camp for a traditional dinner and a night under the stars—where if we are lucky with clear skies, we’ll be able to see the Milky Way.

Day 5 & 6

Sahara Sunrise-Ifrane-Fes

We start our morning with the sunrise over the desert sand and breakfast. We then ride our camel ride back to civilization and head toward Fes for the night. On our way we’ll stop in Ifrane, known as Little Switzerland because of the town center buildings. As we continue we’ll stop in the forest to see a troop of monkeys that frequent the area and aren’t scared of the gawking tourists. We arrive in Fes.

We have a full day to explore Fes, the medina is a labyrinth of alleyways and mysteries to explore such as the local seminary, mosques, universities, shopping and people watching. We’ll visit the Blue Gate, or the main entrance. The Chouara Tannery is fascinating to see all of the dye pots and the workers manually working the leathers.

Day 7 & 8

Chefchouen-Tangier

After breakfast we head north to Chefchouen, known as the “Blue Pearl”. This town founded in 1471 is in the Rif Mountains and has only blue washed buildings. It is breathtaking to walk through the narrow streets to feast your eyes on the colors. We will visit the Kasbah Museum in the center of town and take a little hike to the Spanish Mosque that offers a panoramic view of the town and mountains.

After breakfast, we head north to the Tangier airport for you to catch the flight you have arranged. See details below on suggested cities to fly to to exit Morocco.
